NOTE: Global Centurion’s Summer 2016 Internship positions are filled, but we continue to accept applications for Fall 2016 and Spring 2017.

Global Centurion (GC), a not-for-profit anti-trafficking organization, has openings for interns interested in learning about human trafficking.

At GC, interns are involved in many aspects of the fight to stop human trafficking, including legal research, organizational development, communications and public relations, and the implementation of special projects and programs. Interns participate in interesting projects and have opportunities to develop their own projects. Some of the projects they will work on involve Department of Defense and Department of Health and Human Services contracts, a project studying the link between organized crime and human trafficking and another project looking into the health issues of human trafficking victims. In a busy professional setting, candidates must be good team players, know how to prioritize tasks, and manage their time well.

This internship is designed for students with an interest in human rights, human trafficking, international criminal justice, and related issues. Under the supervision of the Executive Director and Project Manager, the interns assist in researching, writing, and editing a broad range of GC materials and products, providing administrative support to project staff as needed, generating content for the website and social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.), and attending conferences, seminars, and webinars on behalf of GC. Interns report to the Project Manager on a weekly basis to discuss their project progress.

  • Strong research, writing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) as well as with Google Scholar, Google, and other online research engines
  • Interns must be proactive, have good organizational skills, and be able to handle multiple tasks
  • Language skills and knowledge of human rights or human trafficking issues are a plus

All interested candidates can apply by submitting a cover letter, resume, and list of references (writing samples are optional but encouraged)
